Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contract generally consists of work at two (2) different sites with one (1) alternate: 1. Community Center 2. Town Hall a. Base bid is the lower patio adjacent to the parking lot between the library and the town hall b. Alternate No.1 is removing the concrete patio at the top of the stairs fronting the main entry to town hall and installing clay brick pavers. The Community Center work consists generally of installing a patio on the north side of the building. The pavers are concrete unit pavers and installed on in a lawn/landscape area with no existing pavers. All existing materials to be removed to accommodate the patio shall be disposed of by the contractor. The Town Hall work consists generally of replacing concrete unit pavers with Pine Hall clay brick pavers. The existing pavers, stone dust setting bed, geotextile, and edge restraint will be removed while the existing gravel base will be retained. The existing grades are to be retained with any low spots corrected. All existing materials to be removed shall be disposed of by the contractor. 1. Furnishing and installing a new paver patio at the community center per the documents. 2. Replacing pavers at the Town Hall 3. Replacing pavers at the Town Hall at the Alternate No.1 location, upper patio above stairs at front doors. 4. Root pruning trees if evidence of roots is found and impacting the base accompanied by the restoration of the stone base. 5. The plans and specifications as shown in the bid documents 6. Site security a. Temporary chain link fence and gates. All locks shall be coordinated with the owner for shared access. b. Contractor is solely responsible for securing the entirety of the work area, materials, equipment, existing and new until final acceptance and turn-over to the Town. c. Repairs due to damage from vandalism and other breaches of security on the site is the contractor’s responsibility. 7. Maintenance of the facility under construction or impacted by construction during the period of time the contractor is under contract.
