Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) Family Health Services Division (FHSD) seeks a qualified vendor to provide training and technical assistance to the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health (OPCRH) staff on how to use the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW), Shortage Designation Management System (SDMS) to create and manage federal health shortage designations including Health Professions Shortage Areas (HPSA) for primary care, mental health, and dental; Medically Underserved Areas (MUA) and Medically Underserved Populations (MUP) designations; and how identify needed health professions and how to use high need/supplemental data sets to enhance existing health professions data. This project aims to train staff on the use of the HRSA, BHW, Shortage Designation Management System to create and manage federal health shortage designations that can be used to meet the general and specific terms of the various US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Federal Office Rural Health Policy (FORHP), and Bureau of Health Workforce (BHW) grants administered by OPCRH staff.
