Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Proposal (RFP) will be to purchase school buses as part of the replacement program for an aging school bus fleet. 1.Purchase electric school buses. 2.Various sizes type school buses. Class A Buses: Class A buses seating capacity of 24 to 27 passengers. Class C Buses: Class C buses with a seating capacity of 54, 71 and 77 passengers. 3.Provide training for the district fleet technicians as well as provide data software and support to diagnostic equipment for school buses. 4.Provide warranty on new EV school buses: Motor 5 years / 100,000 miles; EV Batteries 8 years / 175,000 miles; Bumper to Bumper 2 years; Towing 2 years; AC (HVAC) 3 years. 5.Provide on-site repairs of warranty work and recalls if requested by fleet services. 6.Bus must meet or exceed all current State of Texas Specifications for School Buses as published by the Texas Department of Public Safety specified under Transportation Code Title 7, Chapter 547.7015, Education Code 34.002 and Texas Administrative Code, Title 37, Part 1, Chapter 14 7.DOT inspection to be included on new buses. 8.Vendor must provide detailed floor plan with RFP; Subject to the other provisions contained in this RFP, bus dealers are expected to recommend buses that meet the district vehicle standards but that also include the following items. • GVWR of 35,000 • Electric motor 255 kWh Rated Power @1000 RPM • 12,000lbs front axle • 23,000lbs rear axle • Rear air ride suspension; Front spring suspension • 11Rx22.5 H rated tires; black wheels • Front and rear tow hooks
