Specifications include, but are not limited to: The STATE OF MONTANA, Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) (hereinafter referred to as “the State”) is soliciting bids for High Lion Piling and Scarification. All dozer work under the terms of this agreement will be done with a dozer no larger than a D6D or equivalent with a ground pressure of 9.4 PSI or less. The equipment will be equipped with the following: ▪ Approved Hydraulic-operated open type brush blade ▪ OSHA approved Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) ▪ Approved, serviceable spark arrester ▪ Fire extinguisher (dry chemical type 2.5 pound minimum) ▪ Shovel and Pulaski ; All excavator work under the terms of this agreement will be done with an excavator of no more than 161 horsepower with a ground pressure of 9.4 PSI or less, with a maximum of 12 feet (which includes transport width plus counterweight overhang when cab is perpendicular to tracks), and equipped with: ▪ Bucket and thumb, clamshell, double rake head, or a masticating/grinding head w/thumb ▪ OSHA approved Roll Over Protective Structure (ROPS) and Falling Object Protective Structure (FOPS) ▪ Grousers ▪ Approved, serviceable spark arrester ▪ Fire extinguisher (dry chemical type 2.5 pound minimum) ▪ Shovel and Pulaski ; The project is located 15 air miles south of Swan Lake, MT via access from the South Woodward Road, with units in sections 16, 17, and 32 T23N R18W. All units are accessed via the Fatty Creek Road and South Woodward Road. There is a lowboy turnaround at the 3.5 MP on the South Woodward Road. Unit 17-07 – From the gate on the South Woodward Road, travel approximately 3.5 miles to access unit 17-07. Unit 16-10 – From the gate on the South Woodward Road, travel approximately 1.8 miles to the junction of South Woodward Road and Swan Wood Road. Go right onto Swan Wood Road for approximately 2 miles to access unit 16-10. Unit 32-14 – From the gate at the road junction of South Woodward Road and Fatwood Road travel approximately 6.5 miles on the Fatwood Road. At MP 6.5 take left at the road junction to access the south end of unit 32-14. There are 2 other access points to the left as you continue on the Fatwood Road.
