Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Kansas Medical Center is requesting proposals to provide On-Call Commissioning, Testing, Adjusting and Balancing services for environmental systems across campus, including buildings on the Main KUMC Campus and the Fairway Campus. The Medical Center will rely on the successful contractor’s expertise in the industry to provide these services throughout the University Areas of the Medical Center properties. KUMC’s buildings have various occupancies, including biological research labs (BSL 2 and BSL 3), clinical research facilities, higher education buildings, office buildings, power plants, a fitness center etc. Buildings are of varying ages and use many types of HVAC systems with pneumatic and DDC controls. To have an on-call contractor in the specified trade that will be available at short notice to perform the Commissioning, Testing, Adjusting and Balancing services for environmental systems outlined in this document on an as needed basis. This contract is for on-call services AND for a Project on the 1st floor of Eaton where the entire floor is going to be renovated. Job sizes range from work order sized projects to limited renovations of buildings on the main Medical Center and Fairway Campuses. The contractor must have the ability and willingness to work with: in-house or on-call engineers, architects, construction forces, and subcontractors.
