Specifications include, but are not limited to: Must provide all the below services for the 3 models of generators on site The 3 Models on site are: -Onan Generator-model DFAC-4490537 -Cat Generator-model C32 -Cat Generator-model C18 Must check the overall condition of the generators and look for foreign objects, loose or broken fittings, missing guards, or other damaged components, and correct or adjust as necessary Must take oil samples and test for contamination, if contamination is found, then the contractor must advise IDOC with options to fix or correct Must make visual inspections of the radiator/ heat exchanger, check for leaks, damage, and debris, check louvers or air dampers and check for proper operation Must make visual inspections of all hoses for deterioration, and check for tightness of all connections Must check for loose or worn pulleys and lube fan drive bearing per recommended interval, and check fan operation and clearance. Must inspect fan belts for wear or deterioration and check the tension and adjust as necessary Must inspect the jacket water heater and verify operation and check and record coolant temperatures Must visually inspect the water pump and check for leaks or unusual noises Fuel system Must inspect the fuel system hoses and check for leaks and make sure all connections are tight, and check line brackets. Must visually inspect fuel tank system for leaks and fuel level and test day tank pump for proper operation Must drain water from fuel water separator if applicable Must inspect fuel system hoses for leaks and check for tight connections and check the line brackets Must inspect governor oil level and inspect governor controls and linkage for proper operation and add oil and lubricate linkage, as necessary Must inspect the primary and secondary fuel filters for damage, leaks, and proper operation and clean primary filter screen Must make an operational check of existing fuel gauge for correct pressure Must inspect air service filter indicator for proper operation, note reading and reset indicator Must inspect and clean the air filter as necessary and replace if needed at the price of parts plus labor to install Must inspect piping and air filter for damage or loose connections and evidence of leaks, clean air filter housing and check the visible housing seals and gaskets Must inspect the turbo charger for external oil leakage or boost/exhaust leakage and check for unusual noises Must inspect the exhaust manifold for damage, loose, or missing hardware and look for evidence of exhaust leakage and inspect for oil slobbering Must verify correct oil level and inspect for contamination and visually inspect the units for leaks Must perform an operational check of gauge for correct pressure and an operational and visual inspection of pre lube pump Must inspect the crank case breather and check for proper operation and check connections and inspect hose for deterioration and note excessive blowby Must obtain live oil sample for analysis Must inspect the batteries for damage and leakage and record date of install (MM/YYYY) Must clean and tighten all battery cable connections and inspect for cracks and corrosion Must check the specific gravity of the batteries and load test them and check electrolyte level and record specific gravity and load test results and fill cells with distilled water, as necessary Must inspect the battery charger for proper operation, loose terminals, and deteriorated wiring Must inspect electrical connections and wiring for air starters, inspect oil jar and feeder operation and perform an operational check of abnormal engagement and cranking noises Must inspect the alternator for proper operation, loose connections, and wiring deterioration and check safety controls for proper operation Must inspect and test panel and system alarms for proper operation Must visually inspect generator brushes, and verify rated output at the generator breaker Must inspect the space heaters for proper operation Must perform a manual/auto-operational check of the start controls for proper operation Must perform an operational check of the voltmeter for correct reading check voltage level and match to utility Must perform operational check of the ammeter for correct reading Must perform operational check of the frequency meter for correct readings Must inspect carburetor and linkage for proper operation, free of binding and lubricate as necessary Must be able to come out for an emergency call within one hour of IDOC calling for service Line 2- Cycle 2 Backup Generator Preventative Maintenance Service Must provide all the below services for the 3 models of generators on site The 3 Models on site are: -Onan Generator-model DFAC-4490537 -Cat Generator-model C32 -Cat Generator-model C18 Must perform all the services included in the cycle 1 preventative maintenance Must replace the fuel filter and inspect it for proper sealing and operation Must change the oil and filters and inspect all gaskets and seals Must inspect the turbocharger for proper end play of rotating assembly Must visually inspect the generator rear bearing mounting and air gap on exciter Must visually inspect the vibration insulators condition Must manually operate the circuit breakers on the package generator breaker Must inspect for overall condition and cleanliness of the control panel Must replace the lead batteries every 24 to 36 months Must drain and replace the coolant and conditioner every 6 years Must be able to come out for an emergency call within one hour of IDOC calling for service Must load test the generator to ensure the quality and reliability of the generator during an emergency, and hook up load bank device to verify the accuracy of the generators output capacities, by creating a variety of different loads to unit, that replicate real world use
