Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide design and engineering services for the renovation of the existing Operating Room (OR) Suite located within the original hospital. Comprehensive design services include the development of the existing space based on the programmatic requirements through construction documents. The design team will evaluate the existing space and UNMH provided Feasibility Study for code compliance and execute the work in accordance with all applicable codes including the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) for Hospitals, NFPA, IBC, etc. The Work shall include the renovation of the OR suite shall include10 state of the art OR rooms, 25 pre/post-operative beds, a new patient intake/waiting room area, and staff support space. The scope includes various code and life safety upgrades, infrastructure and mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) system improvements, structural reinforcement and other modifications as required. The renovation shall also provide for new space configurations to allow for increased efficiencies along with contemporary OR finishes. The scope of Work to be performed by the design team shall include any necessary services for a hospital facility to be fully operational for the intended use. Included for reference is the Feasibility Study and proposed floor plan.
