Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Administration, Division of Capitol Asset Management and Maintenance is seeking proposals for demolition and associated site preparation for the property located at 171 Anthony Road, Portsmouth RI. Three underground storage tanks remain on site on Anthony Road; a 2,000 gallon heating oil tank, a 6,000 gallon gasoline tank, and a 6,000 gallon diesel tank. As part of UST Compliance with the Department of Environmental Management, the remaining tanks must be removed from the site, disposed of appropriately, and any contaminated soil/water must be managed in accordance with RIDEM’s Oil Pollution Regulations and the RIDEM UST Regulations. At this specific site there is some evidence of an associated plume of petroleum contaminated soil that extends below the garage, thus requiring the demolition of the facility maintenance garage. A groundwater monitoring system is still currently in place and is sampled quarterly every year. Successful vendor shall identify, mark, and protect the existing wells throughout the entire project. Coordination with the Owner and the Owners representatives Implementation of approved Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, in accordance with “The RIPDES General Permit for Storm Water Discharge from Construction Activity”. Site inspections must be conducted at least once every seven (7) calendar days and within twenty four (24) hours of each storm event of 0.25 inch or greater in a 24- hour period of time during construction to insure that the erosion controls are intact.
