Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) Sprigging should be performed June 22 through June 23rd. (Unless delayed by weather) b) The sprigging area will be golf course fairways at Quail Chase Golf Course totaling roughly 10 acres in size when combined. c) The variety of Bermudagrass used shall be certified “Tahoma 31”. No substitutions shall be accepted. d) The sprigs shall be weed and disease free and harvested no sooner than eighteen (18) hours before sprigging. e) The Bermudagrass sprigs provided are to be established and grown in sand. f) The Contractor shall ship, handle, and plant sprigs in accordance with industry standards. The rate of sprigging shall be eight hundred (800) bushels per acre. g) The sprigs shall be mechanically row planted which incorporates the sprigs into the soil with a maximum of 5” centers. h) The Louisville Parks and Recreation Department shall be responsible for preparation of the site and the extermination of existing plants prior to Contractor performing work. i) Work shall be performed between the regular normal working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
