Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Successful vendor shall provide In-patient acute psychiatric hospital care for youth who demonstrate emotional, behavioral, psychiatric, aggressive, self-harming and/or substance abuse disorders. With this RFP, the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking up to 13 vendors to provide the following services: 1. Receive referrals from all DJJ Facilities listed in attachment A and any DJJ facilities created after the issuance of this contract. Attachment A is subject to change without notice. 2. Conduct assessments via telehealth or in person 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. 3. Conduct assessment within 3 hours of referral to determine level or intensity of care for youth. 4. Notify the referring DJJ facility of the determination within 3 hours of youth’s assessment. 5. Ensure youth’s eligibility for benefits with Department for Medicaid Services. 6. Accept payment from DJJ at Medicaid rate if youth is determined to not be Medicaid eligible. Medicaid rate shall be determined by current Physicians Fee Schedule provided by the Kentucky Department of Medicaid. Fee Schedules - Cabinet for Health and Family Services (ky.gov) 7. Ensure youth’s condition and proposed service(s) are a Medicaid Covered Service prior to performing proposed services.
