Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Military Affairs Construction and Facility Management Office (State) requires Contractor to perform mowing services on approximately 43,341 square feet (1.0 acre) of irrigated lawn mowing at Belgrade Readiness Center located at 350 Airport Road, Belgrade, MT 29714. See Attachment B: Belgrade Readiness Center Site Map located on the Buyer’s Attachment page of this event. The map shows assigned areas covered under this Contract at time of bid. Most of the mowing areas are level; however, there are some areas where ground slopes to meet sidewalks and at times more sharply when nearing designated drainage/retention pond areas and ditches. Contractor and Contractor’s employees must take care to prevent scalping. State strongly suggests utilizing hand-held equipment, such as push mowers and/or trimmers, in these areas to minimize scalping potential. Likewise, the State recommends Contract ensure no large twigs/branches/rocks are in the designated mowing areas that could cause damage to Contractor’s mowing equipment, government property, parked and/or passing vehicles, or other potential items that could become damaged if large twigs/branches/rocks are run over and become projectiles.
