Specifications include, but are not limited to: San Juan College (“the College”) is attempting to purchase two (2) used commercial tandem axle semitrailers; possibly three (3) trailers depending on cost and budget. These trailers will be used, along with our fleet of trucks, for training Commercial Driver License (CDL) Students. Pre-delivery service, at a minimum, shall include the following: a. Breaking system must meet Federal Motor Carriers Safety Book and North American Standard Out-ofService Criteria. All brake linings, drums, components, cams, bushings, air lines, air tanks, and valves must be in new to good condition. b. The description of the trailers must include service dates, type of hub and bearings (grease or oil bath). Indicate when last changed and/or lubricated. c. Provide any and all service records for each trailer. d. Inflate tires to proper pressure. Tires shall be new to good condition with a minimum of 17/32 tread depth; e. Check to assure proper operation of all accessories, gauges, lights and mechanical and hydraulic features; f. Cleaning of trailers, if necessary, and removal of all stains, odors, stickers, decals, etc.; g. Owner’s manual and warranty manual, if applicable, to accompany each trailer;
