Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Cedar Rapids is seeking bids from qualified Suppliers for the purchase and delivery of fuel (Gasohol, Unleaded, No. 1 Diesel, No. 2 Diesel, D‐Grade Premium Diesel and Blended Diesels). This is an intergovernmental bid. The City of Cedar Rapids is the host agency for this bid, which also includes the Cedar Rapids Community School District, The Eastern Iowa Airport and Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency. The Supplier will be required to make delivery within 16 hours after receiving a request for an order, in most cases. However, there may be times, during an emergency, when delivery will need to occur within 2 hours due to high demand that could not be anticipated. If you cannot accommodate that request, the City will use the option to purchase from suppliers outside the contract in order to meet the demand. Delivery is to be made between the hours of 7 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, except for emergency orders so identified when placing an order. All gasoline shall meet the minimum seasonal requirements of ‘major brand’ gasoline. The minimum octane rating, based on the anti‐knock lead index (R+M/2), shall be 87 for gasohol and 87 for ‘regular’ unleaded gasoline.
