Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department is contracting for a Financial Examiner/ Analyst to perform such levels of professional service as necessary to assist in the department’s regulatory oversight of insurers in Kentucky, both domestic and foreign, as required under the Kentucky Revised Statutes and the standards and guidelines established by the DOI and National Association of Insurance Commissioner (NAIC). All levels of service set forth in this contract shall be provided by Certified Financial Examiners to examine and monitor the financial stability and compliance of insurers authorized to transact the business of insurance in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. At the discretion of the Commissioner of the Department of Insurance and the Director of the Financial Standards and Examination Division, the contractor shall be assigned one or more of the following levels of professional analysis/examination responsibilities with said assignment selection based on resources and scheduling requirements of the Department, the complexity of the insurers under review and the commensurate level of the contractor’s experience and professional training: Reviewer (Examiner/ Analyst), Examiner/Analyst In Charge, Certified Financial Examiner, and/or AFE/No Designation.
