Specifications include, but are not limited to: This quote is intended to result in a term contract for the seasonal rental of two (2) Caterpillar D-7 tracked dozers, or City approved equal, for the City and Borough of Juneau Public Works/Engineering Department, Streets Division for the winter months. The primary purpose of the rental of tracked dozers, D7 Caterpillar or equivalent machines is to allow for the stockpiling of winter snow by CBJ Streets Staff. Delivery of equipment at final destination should be no later than November 30 of each contract year. Pick up of the equipment should be no later than April 15 th , of each contract year. Contactor shall coordinate all deliveries and pick-ups with the Streets Contract Administrator. A. A D-7 Caterpillar or approved equivalent Dozer delivered to City Snow Dump and a D-7 Caterpillar or approved equivalent Dozer delivered to Thane Rd. NOTE: both Dozers provided must have an enclosed cab to protect the operator the weather B. A “U” or “semi-U” blade is required for both dozers. C. City will be responsible for fuel, lube, and ordinary maintenance (i.e., greasing, checking oil levels) for both dozers. Dozers must be lubricated after each shift. D. The Contractor will be responsible for all mechanical repairs and all costs and transportation related to making the repairs for both dozers.
