Specifications include, but are not limited to: Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA), Iowa Department of the Blind (IDB) must allocate 15% of its federal grant funds to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to students with disabilities. In order to meet this new requirement, IDB intends to partner with qualified Respondents to provide Pre-ETS to students who are blind or have low vision between the ages of fourteen (14) and twenty-one (21) who are enrolled in a secondary, post-secondary or other recognized education program. The IDB requests proposals for the development and implementation of innovative programs to deliver Pre-ETS to students with disabilities. Successful Respondents will develop and improve strategies in service delivery and provide training and instruction to eligible and potentially eligible students with disabilities, aged 14-21 years enrolled in school.
