Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. This an invitation to bid on dairy products for FCPS cafeterias. 2. All dairy products furnished under this contract shall conform to the United States Public Health Milk Standard Code and Fayette County Standard Milk Ordinance. 3. AWARD SHALL BE MADE TO SINGLE BIDDER. EACH ITEM SHOULD BE BID. Contract is exclusive to bidder who receives the award with the following exceptions: FCPS Warehouse operation, bids for items in large quantities and individual purchases under $5000.00 when a lower price can be obtained, and the items purchased meet specifications. 4. The Division of Food Service must approve the initial and subsequent delivery schedules of the dairy products. Milk must be maintained a temperature of forty (40°) or below in storage at the dairy. Milk shall be delivered to the individual schools twentyfour (24) hours or less prior to usage, except with advance authorization by the Director of Food Service, and at the temperature of forty-five (45°) or lower. The milk shall be placed under refrigeration at the school cafeteria. No product is to be left outside the school under any circumstances. 5. Milk boxes are to be filled by the vendor with any excess placed in the cooler. Care must be used in loading the milk box. Any milk box damaged by dropping crated of milk while filling the box shall be charged to the vendor. 6. The successful bidder must have each delivery checked by the cafeteria manager and leave a copy of the itemized delivery ticket with the manager. If the successful bidder is unable to make delivery during the time designated, notification must be made to the Division of Food Service office. 7. The successful bidder shall see that dairy products available for serving are of “current date”.
