Specifications include, but are not limited to: To maintain fidelity to the Trauma Systems Therapy model, organizations providing the intervention need to develop a multi-disciplinary team that routinely reviews cases and makes clinical recommendations. To be qualified to join the TST MDT, participants must be willing to receive a formal 12 hour training from New York University or it’s designees through the Washington County Department of Social Services. The TST Psychiatric Consultant must be able to participate in weekly MDT meetings held on Wednesdays from 8:30am-9:30am with the Washington County Department of Social Services. During those meetings, the general scope of service would be: general consultation for the TST team, phone and face to face consultation with foster parents, school personnel, other physicians and providers as well as assessment, case conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention recommendations, and clinical insights to prescribed medication. Additionally, the Psychiatric Consultant may also be asked to provide ongoing psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents who are in TST.
