Specifications include, but are not limited to: Carson City invites qualified firms to submit proposals for Operating Services for the Jump Around Carson (JAC) public transportation system. 3.5.1. Routes: JAC operates with four buses on four fixed routes: Routes 1, 2A, 2B and 3. Free transfers are available between each of the routes (with the exception of transfers between Routes 2A and 2B). JAC also accepts free transfers from DART, RTC INTERCITY and BlueGo’s Lake & Valley Express buses at the downtown transfer center and various other locations around the service area. In addition to fixed-route service, JAC Assist operates up to six vehicles in ADA complementary paratransit service. All vehicles in the fleet are ADAaccessible. 3.5.2. Hour of Service: JAC buses operate between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each route operates on a 60-minute headway. JAC Assist operates during the same days and hours as the fixed-route bus system. Buses do not operate on Sundays or the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. JAC operates a Saturday schedule on the following holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday, Presidents Day, Juneteenth, Nevada Day, Veterans Day, Family Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve. The JAC office is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, by phone or by appointment only. 3.5.3. Service Area: JAC fixed-route buses operate entirely within the urbanized area of Carson City (see Attachment B), while JAC Assist vehicles provides service to all of Carson City and some service into Douglas County, due to the ¾ mile buffer required by ADA
