Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2. WORK UNDER TRAFFIC: Contractor shall not hinder traffic on the site related to conveying and material transport operations. 3. CORRELATION OF DOCUMENTS: Anything mentioned in the specifications and not shown on the drawings or anything shown on the drawings and not mentioned in the specifications shall be of like affect as if or mentioned in both. 4. CLEANUP AND RESTORATION: During construction and prior to acceptance of the project by the Owner, the entire site shall have all construction debris removed and areas shall be left in a clean condition. All dirt, dust or mud resulting from construction activities shall be removed from all buildings, walks, pavements, etc. 5. NUISANCE CONTROLS: The Contractor is required to minimize noise, dust, pests, debris, rodents, pollution and erosion at the construction site. Erosion shall be controlled by temporary cover, silt fencing, etc., as appropriate. Water shall be applied to dusty areas as necessary. Debris shall be promptly removed from the site. Storage areas shall be such that pests and rodents can be controlled. 6. PERMITS: No building permit is required. 7. DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS: The Contractor shall dispose of excavation, excess and waste materials at a location provided by the Contractor. 8. SUBMITTALS: Submittals are required. Refer to the drawings for required submittals. All suppliers and subcontractors are required to provide shop drawing information directly to the general contractor. The general contractor is to review the shop drawing information for accuracy and compliance before submitting to the Engineer for review and approval. Electronic submittal of shop drawings shall be utilized. 9. RESPONSIBILITY: The Contractor alone shall be responsible for the safety, efficiency and adequacy of the Contractor’s operations, equipment and methods and for any damage which may result from failure or improper construction, maintenance or operation. Contractor must remove all equipment as required for flood control operations as directed by the Public Works Department. 10. SAFETY: Neither the Owner nor Engineer are responsible for Contractors' compliance with state and federal health and safety requirements. 11. MATERIAL STORAGE: All materials and equipment stored at the site shall be protected from the elements where such exposure would be detrimental and shall be adequately supported to prevent bending, warping, and other degradation of material properties.
