Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Maine is seeking proposals for real estate services for acquisition and sale of excess real property and assistance with the State’s lease program. The Department through its Bureau of General Services (BGS) manages real estate transactions for State agencies that do not have independent authorization to acquire or sell real property. If an agency receives Legislative approval either to acquire property or to dispose of it (usually via a Legislative Resolve) as “surplus” or “excess,” DAFS/BGS requires professional real estate services. The Department is seeking a full range of real estate services for purchases and sales, including opinions of value, listing, marketing, showing and selling properties, assisting with purchase and sale agreements and closing documents, providing or arranging for/coordinating ancillary services such as surveys, appraisals, and environmental assessments and generally furnishing a full range of services in support of property sales and purchases; . Assist with Acquisition (coordinate due diligence, including but not limited to environmental assessments) . Arrange for an Opinion of Value or Appraisal as required . Arrange for survey work as required . Draft and review closing documents . . Arrange for document and payment deliveries as needed . Generally, assist with the full range of services involved in property purchases, consistent with the Legislative Resolve
