Specifications include, but are not limited to: Base Bid work shall consist of renovation of vacant portion of City of Converse “Old City Hall Building” - entailing complete interior demolition/removal of: Police Holding Cells, toilet rooms, offices, work shop area, demo/removal of metal stud/gyp bd walls, plywood wall coverings, cmu walls (around Holding Cells), cut-away/removal of a portion of exterior stucco and metal stud wall, hollow metal doors/frames, exterior aluminum doors and windows and frames, cut-out and removal of exterior stone over wall at windows, vct flooring, acoustical tile ceilings/metal grid/hanger wire, concrete ceilings (over Holding Cells), above ceiling miscellaneous framing, hangers, wiring/comm cable; remove HVAC air handlers grill; remove electrical lights/receptacles and related conduit/wire /circuiting; remove plumbing fixtures and related supply lines. The renovation build-back will consist of new open space activity area, new male and female lavatories, new office, creation of area for future commercial kitchen with plumbing and electrical service at walls; toilet partitions, toilet rm accessories, lavatory counter-tops and cabinets, metal stud/gyp bd walls, acoustical tile and enhanced wood slat lay-in ceiling with metal grid, wood and hollow metal doors/frames and hardware, new electrical lights/power receptacles; new plumbing lines fixtures; new hvac air handler units/ducts/grill, ceramic tile on lavatory floors/walls and vct flooring, new gyp bd and metal stud walls/painting/rubber wall base. Additional work will be considered under several add alternates consisting of: elimination of several non-structural stucco pilasters at Covered Walkway, enhancements to building exterior by adding metal panel siding over existing exterior stone. Site work adding seal coating and restripping of parking lot and a metal picket fence enclosure.
