Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Division of Purchasing (DOP), on behalf of the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide fresh fruit or vegetable consultant and sorting equipment. IPC is seeking a consulting firm or other entity to study how potato processing facilities in Idaho can modernize the grading and inspection processes through the incorporation of optics, robotics, molecular disease detection techniques, and machine learning to increase output and efficiency. Incorporating new equipment, software, and other technologies to automate the sampling and grading process will result in more consistent, objective results, which will create more certainty for the processors and the growers.
