Specifications include, but are not limited to: Our goal is to upgrade the CSD master National Drug Code (NDC) drug table to standardized drug elements with exact drug trade/generic names, delivery method, and strength. The table has been manually developed over the last 25 years, culled, and built based on federal ARCOS data. Different staff entered the data without any carryover training, guidance, knowledge of format, and requirements. This has created confusion for users and error in displaying the correct drug with the correct code. Currently, many PDMP’s are working to connect to electronic health records (E.H.R.) Systems. The CSD recognizes that the NDC data standardization would reduce confusion; therefore we are looking at vendors that provide such drug tables.
