Specifications include, but are not limited to: Due to damage of the existing water main system in this area under the Salt Creek along 70th Street, the watermain has been shut down both north and south of the existing leak in this area. The water main replacement shall begin with a water valve replacement at Station 7+45 north of the proposed tie in for the High‐Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipe. The contractor shall remove existing 16” watermain from Sta 2+70 to Sta 2+85 and Sta 6+40 to Sta 7+15 and construct the HDPE pipe from Sta 2+85 to Sta 7+00. The Contractor shall construct solid sleeves at Sta 2+71 and Sta 7+15 to connect new 16” watermain and the existing 16” watermain in this area. Flushing and sampling locations to be coordinated with Lincoln Water Systems. The Contractor may submit an alternate project phasing plan prior to or during construction. The alternate phasing plans must be approved by the City Project Manager and Lincoln Water System. Changes to the phasing plan shall be submitted in writing to the City Project Manager at least 7 days prior to beginning work impacted by the proposed changes to the phasing plan.
