Specifications include, but are not limited to: INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Surface mount installation of new U rack bike racks within eight (8) business districts. 3.2 Installation of two 48” x 72” concrete pads with a minimum of 4” thickness installed according to Lincoln Standard Specifications 2023 City of Lincoln Standard Specifications for Municipal Construction (ne.gov) 3.3 All bike rack locations are at the sidewalk level with at least two (2) feet of separation from the travel lanes, in many cases more. It should not be necessary to close any lanes of traffic to install the bike racks or concrete pads. Several locations have adjacent on-street parking which can be used during the installation. 3.4 The scale of this project does not require a traffic mitigation plan. 3.5 Tools necessary for bike rack installation are minimal and according to Dero installation guide (see Location Guide Attached in the Bid Attachment Section) include a 3/8” masonry drill bit, drill, hammer, 9/16” wrench, and a level. 3.6 Exact locations of the racks will be marked by Owner prior to Contractor installation. 3.7 Per the pages Installation Requirements included in the Location Guide attached in the Bid Attachment Section. 3.8 Installation of all racks shall be completed within 45 days of an executed contract and upon racks arriving.
