Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide services to remove and dispose of a 10,000 gallon underground fuel oil storage tank. Provide comprehensive project management including regular communication with the Hampstead School District's Facilities Director and permitting agencies as needed. Include all travel, equipment, labor, material, permits, and disposal costs. 1. Contractor shall "pre-mark" the area for the excavation and comply with all Dig Safe Regulations. 2. Contractor shall comply with all laws, rules, and regulations of the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and any other agency that oversees the removal of underground fuel oil storage tanks. Permit fees and requirements shall be borne by the contractor. 3. Contractor shall install a safety fence around the job site during removal. Contractor shall also install safety fencing for roadway access. 4. Contractor shall dispose of all residual fuel and sludge. The district would like to have some of the remaining usable oil moved to 2 possible locations (the Hampstead Middle School and the Hampstead Town Garage. Both locations are under 1 mile away from the Hampstead Central School). Please quote per gallon and/or truck load. 5. Contractor shall remove and dispose of the pavement/material over the top of the tank. 6. Contractor shall excavate, remove and dispose of the tank and associated piping. Note, any piping that cannot be removed without disturbing existing infrastructure shall be cut off, capped, or plugged at the building. 7. Contractor shall dispose of all removed materials, piping and tank.
