Specifications include, but are not limited to: Recruit Employers Statewide to participate in the RFW to promote health, safety, and wellness in the workplace. Connect Employers with an array of community, prevention, treatment, and Recovery Support resources including specifically working with State supported Recovery Community Centers. Collaborate and coordinate with community resources including, but not limited to, local and State Chamber(s) of Commerce, DOL Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, DOL Bureau of Employment Services including Career Centers, State Workforce Board, and local workforce development boards. Create, within ninety (90) calendar days of the initial period of performance, and maintain a policy and procedures RFW toolkit, to be approved by the Department, to support participating Employer’s review, assessment, and RFW designation process. Develop a process for conducting an ongoing evaluation of the RFW implementation and its activities. RFW Training, Technical Assistance, and Support Provide Recovery Support resources and trainings both online and in-person, to Employers that promote health, well-being, and Recovery for all employees and their families. Ensure training incorporates: Education regarding the intersection of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and traditionally marginalized populations including justice involved individuals, new Maine residents (immigrants and refugees), individuals with disabilities, veterans, and Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color (BIPOC); Overdose Recognition and Reversal Protocols including the provision and proper use of naloxone. Provide consultation, on-site technical assistance, and training related to RFW and Recovery Supports, as needed, based on a schedule developed in partnership with requesting Employers and their employees to ensure inclusion and support of staff in Recovery. Review company policies, including hiring policies to reduce barriers for those impacted by addiction and to help achieve a high level of employee health, safety, and productivity. Develop and deliver pre- and post-surveys to Employers to assess the effectiveness of the RFW trainings on the Employers’ attitudes and behaviors. Collaborate with the New Hampshire RFW and participate in its Community of Practice network including RFWs in several states. Assist Employers with participating in public awareness and educational events in their communities in the interest of decreasing stigma attached to SUD. Assistance may include, but is not limited to, connecting Employers with public health, wellness, and Recovery initiatives, and connecting Employers with RFW designation with business association groups.
