Specifications include, but are not limited to: The department currently has the following equipment, Model 265X HT, 25cubic yards, self-contained waste compactor with hinged tailgate. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, expendable equipment, all transportation services and landfill space required to perform and complete the collection and disposal of waste. Collection of waste shall be conducted on a weekly basis and must be coordinated with the facility prior to start of service. Pick up of waste more than once a week is rare but the contractor will be required to pick-up waste upon request and within 24 hours of a call from the facility. All waste collection shall be disposed of in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The contractor will also be required to pressure wash/clean the waste compactor and container inside and outside 5 times a year. The schedule of cleanings will be on or about November 30th, Feb 28th, May 15th, July 15th and September 15th of each year. If the compactor is removed from the facility for this service for more than 6 hours, the contractor is responsible for replacing it with another compatible compactor until returned. Coordination for the compactor/container cleaning should be coordinated with James Smith at 907-269-4295 at least 48 hours prior to pickup of equipment for cleaning. If this is a service that can be performed at the facility, then the contractor will be responsible for the proper disposal and clean-up of residue and liquid Waste from the compactor. This residue/waste cannot be drained or left on the facility premise and all waste must be disposed of in accordance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
