Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The University is seeking a highly qualified offeror that possesses the capability and experience to facilitate trial periods (“Trial Program”) and full implementation of diversion devices (“Awarded Contract Pricing”) for the purchasers listed in Section 2.1 (Intent and Scope). 2. The objective and expected outcomes of these products is to remove any potential blood culture contaminants by diverting the initial blood flow (typically 1-2 mLs), as blood culture contaminations can consume laboratory resources and cause several unnecessary patient side effects (such as use of antibiotics and extended hospital stays). Such expected outcomes must be quantifiable and verifiable, and demonstrate efficacy in reducing the contamination rate of blood culture samples. 3. The annual estimated aggregate volume (“Baseline Estimate”) of this RFP is 320,000 units (sum of all purchasers outlined in Section 2.1). This Baseline Estimate is designed to be directional and is informational and subject to change. Offeror understands that the Baseline Estimate is a “best guess” based on available information of the RFP on the date issued (advertised) and that no specific outcome nor quantity is guaranteed nor amount inferred and any actual and/or future annual usage is subject to change, based on several factors, including but not limited to: patient needs and patient censuses, clinical practices and policies, operational practices and policies, market dynamics, and other variables, which cannot be determined nor guaranteed at this time. 4. Offerors will confirm ability to provide Diversion Devices and associated services (if applicable) to the locations outlined within the Attachment A Cost Breakdown Worksheet (CBW), for both a Trial Program and/or Awarded Contract Pricing options. 5. Awarded Contractor(s) will provide sales and volume reports on request. Such reports will be delivered in an electronic file in a machine-readable format such as Microsoft Excel (.XLSX) or Comma Separated Variable (.CSV). 6. Provide sample invoice.
