All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to:11.1.1. Air Filter Media (if applicable) 11.1.2. Filter Media Composition: air filter media shall be composed of non- woven, air-laid polyester fibers bonded together with a flame-retarding agent to form a high-loft of resilient fibers in progressively denser layers. The filter media shall be treated with a non-toxic, non-migratory, odorless adhesive that is incorporated into the media. 11.1.3. Filter Media Efficiency Rating: air filter media shall be rated at “MERV 13, as defined in ASHRAE Standard 52.2-2017. 11.1.4. Filter Frames: each filter frame shall: be constructed entirely of 26-gauge (minimum) aluminum, galvanized steel, or stainless steel; include a wire grille securely welded to the outflow side of the filter frame to provide at least ninety percent (90%) open area and sufficient rigidity to prevent displacement or distortion of the media during heavy usage; 11.1.5. Pleated Filter Composition: Air filters shall be high efficiency ASHRAE pleated panels consisting of cotton and synthetic or 100 percent virgin synthetic media, self-supporting media with required media stabilizers, and beverage board enclosing frame. Filter media shall be lofted to a uniform depth and formed into a uniform radial pleat. The media stabilizers shall be bonded to the downstream side of the media to maintain radial pleats and prevent media oscillation. An enclosing frame of no less than 28-point high wet-strength beverage board shall provide a rigid and durable enclosure. The frame shall be bonded to the media on all sides to prevent air bypass. Integral diagonal support members on the air entering and air exiting side shall be bonded to the apex of each pleat to maintain uniform pleat spacing in varying airflows. 11.1.6. Filter Media Efficiency Rating: Air filter media shall be rated at “MERV 13, as defined in ASHRAE Standard 52.2-2017, unless otherwise noted. 11.2. Drive Belts shall be high quality “classical” style V- belts, “Narrow Wedge” style V-belts or a “cogged” V-belt depending on the specific unit’s manufacturer recommendation. Belts will be of the proper length, width and pitch for the applicable pulleys or sheaves. 11.3. Quantities: Table 1 lists the types, sizes and quantities of filters and belts at each site to be serviced under this Contract. All quantities indicated in Tables 1 are close approximations based on recent inventory data. DVISD reserves the right to purchase more or less than the estimated quantities, at the current Contract price, for the term of the Contract. 11.4. Service Intervals: 11.4.1. Air Filters: shall be replaced once every 90 or 180 days. Refer to DVISD Filter Schedule “Table 2”. DVISD reserves the right, after consultation with the Contractor, to modify the service intervals for any site. 11.4.2. Drive Belts: shall be replaced annually. DVISD reserves the right, after consultation with the Contractor, to modify the service intervals for any site.
