Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Carlsbad Municipal School District seeks Annual Audit Services; The Carlsbad Municipal School District is requesting a multi-year proposal to provide Annual Audit services for not only Fiscal Year 2023, but also to include 2024 and 2025, not to exceed a term of three years including all extensions and renewals. The Contractor shall conduct a fiscal and compliance audit of the general-purpose financial statements and the combining, individual fund, and account group financial statements of the Carlsbad Municipal School District for the period from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. Such audit shall be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, government auditing standards, and all federal requirements (federal funds shall be audited on an organization-wide basis), requirements for Contracting and Conducting Governmental Audits, NMAC 2.2.2 Audit Act, NMSA 1978, Sections 12-6-1 through 12-6-14, and other applicable pronouncements as listed in 2.2.2. NMAC. As part of the audit contract, the auditing firm will provide the District with updates of new laws which affect the District; especially as they pertain to state/federal reporting, CARES Act, new requirements of GASB pronouncements known, new deadlines, changes to the requirements for non-major funds, and any/all other requirements.
