Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the GoMed Program is to provide a safe, first-and-last-mile autonomous vehicle (AV) transit service that circulates between the Bonneville Transit Center and the Las Vegas Medical District and to enhance pedestrian safety. The supporting infrastructure improvements required include, but are not limited to: (A) Smart Transit Shelters (23) with various technologies, interactive display units and digital signage at selected locations along the AV route, (B) Connected Vehicle System with dual mode Roadside Units (RSU) (20) to be furnished and installed on this project, to communicate with Onboard units (OBUs) in AVs, and (C) Pedestrian Detection System at five (5) geographic locations - at two (2) controlled intersections and three (3) mid-block crossings with interfaces to ATMS signal system and Connected Vehicle (CV) RSUs to transmit pedestrian safety alerts.
