Specifications include, but are not limited to: Street-legal, single-rider, off-road dual-sport trail-oriented Motorcycles to be used in extremely dusty steep terrain, treed mountainous terrain and dirt trails. The Motorcycles will be used by enforcement officers to run patrols in areas not accessible by trucks or all-terrain vehicles. The Motorcycles are transported via truck bed so they must be lightweight and easily loaded and unloaded into a truck bed on uneven terrain. The following Specifications are the minimum that IDFG is willing to accept. KTM 300 XC-W, Or Equal. Motor – Single Cylinder, two (2) stroke motor. Motor must be rated between two hundred and ninety (290) and three hundred and fifty (350) cc. Transmission – Six (6) speed wide ratio transmission. Clutch – Hydraulic multi disc clutch. Drive – Chain Drive Tires – Durable off-road all- terrain tires. Cooling - Liquid cooled by radiator. Must have aluminum radiator guards installed. Must have aluminum skid plates installed. Must have electric start. Battery - lithium-ion starter battery. Fuel Capacity – Must have a minimum capacity of two (2) gallons for a minimum of ninety (90) miles of range. Fuel Delivery – Automatic fuel Injection. Fuel Mixing – Automatic onboard fuel mixing. Front Suspension – Adjustable shock absorbers. Rear Suspension – Adjustable shock absorber. Handlebars – Adjustable high strength Aluminum, or equal Handguards – Must have full wrap handguards to protect the rider’s hands and the clutch/brake levers. Brakes – Hydraulic front and rear disc brakes. Ground Clearance - Must have a minimum of fourteen (14) inches of clearance. Seat Height - Must not exceed thirty-nine (39) inches for versatility of department staff riders. Must have one (1) headlight and one (1) taillight.
