Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Rhode Island Department of Corrections (RIDOC) is seeking vendors to provide evidence-based cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT) that addresses anti-social attitudes, values, beliefs, thinking and/or other criminal cognitions geared toward the specific risks and needs of participants of the Second Chance Act Reentry Program for Adults with Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Disorders. Accordingly, in this procurement, the RIDOC is seeking services to: • Address the immediate need of services for the limited population of parole violators directly related to the Second Chance Act Reentry Program for Adults with Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Disorders • Within the next 18-24 months, a plan for a potential expansion to a wider scope of individuals to include the court ordered probation /parole population. This expansion is not guaranteed; Specific Activities/Tasks 1. Design services to address anti-social attitudes, values, beliefs, thinking, and/or other criminal cognitions. 2. Design services to provide appropriate dosage as indicated by LSI-R or LS/CMI risk assessment score indicating high or moderate risk. 3. Explain the method of ascertaining the proper dosage delivery and process to communicate and discuss this dosage protocol with RIDOC staff. 4. Implement a mechanism to secure client consent for the exchange of information with the collaborative agencies and persons. Vendors should expect to work in close partnership with RIDOC staff toward the offender’s rehabilitation and risk reduction.
