Specifications include, but are not limited to: The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) is soliciting bids on behalf of Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility (NRJ&CF), to establish a contract for a lump sum quotation for the asphalt paving project. 1. Parking lot: a. There are two different levels for the parking lot. Between the upper and lower parking lot areas, there is existing dirt, grass, and gravel. b. The lower parking lot is approximately 60’ by approximately 353’. c. The upper parking lot is approximately 60’ by approximately 353’. d. It is the contractor responsibility to get the exact measurements at the mandatory pre-bid meet. The DCR will not be held accountable for any miss measurements. 2. Facility access road: a. The facility access road from route 12 to the parking lot is approximately 25’ wide by approximately 843’ long. b. It is the contractor responsibility to get the exact measurements at the mandatory pre-bid meet. The DCR will not be held accountable for any miss measurements. a. The asphalt paved areas on the existing parking lot and road inside the red lines are the areas the contractor must do as specified in the contract drawing and specifications. b. The contractor must mill two (2") inches of the existing asphalt paving from the existing asphalt paving on the parking lot and facility access road areas. c. Please note that there are existing storm drains and metal grates over them in various areas. The contractor must slope all new asphalt pavement to the storm drains so that there will be no standing water. d. The contractor must relocate all spoils removed to location off site and dispose of. e. The contractor must clean off all the areas that have had existing asphalt paving removed.
