Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies etc. necessary to Restore all windows, window frames, surrounding wood jambs and supporting wood frames and shutters back to their original design effectiveness and/or efficiency. b. The work performed will be under the supervision of Maryland Department of General Services (MDGS) and Historic St. Mary’s City Commission (HSMCC). Extra care must be given to preserving and protecting the historical fabric of this building complex. MDGS and HSMCC will play an integral role in the documentation and decision-making process while mitigating any unforeseen issues. c. In the case where the existing historic fabric or material cannot be preserved, the contractor will fabricate a new piece to match the deteriorated ones to its original form. d. A two-part epoxy such as the West System must be used when patching or joining half lap or scarf joints together.
