Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Assist in creation of the presidential job advertisement and place the advertisement in publications mutually agreed upon with the University with a goal of publicizing the position to an appropriate target audience. If requested, provide additional marketing services, such as designing or reviewing flyers and other marketing materials and distribute those materials to target audiences. 2. Help develop a pool of qualified and diverse candidates for the position of president. 3. Provide a written process for all applications for the position. Ensure prompt acknowledgement of all inquiries, applications, and candidates; and pursue, as appropriate, potential candidates that make inquiries. Maintain absolute confidentiality of all potential candidate and applicant information. 4. If requested by the Board, advise in developing criteria for making the final decision. Consistent with the advertisement as published, assist the Search Committee in developing criteria for screening candidates. 5. Assist in the search and screening process by obtaining appropriate authorizations from candidates and then conducting background investigations, checking references, prescreening, and interviewing candidates. Assist the Search Committee during meetings.
