Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Nashua, Solid Waste Department is seeking to proposals from qualified vendors for the replacement of the two truck scales at the Four Hills Landfill/Nashua Recycling Center located at 840 West Hollis St, Nashua, NH 03062. The current scales have been in service for over 30 years. The inbound scale is an electronic In-Scale with a 10’ X 70’ concrete deck and a capacity of 120,000 lbs. The outbound scale is an Emery-Winslow hydraulic scale with a 10’ X 70’ concrete deck and a capacity of 120,000 lbs. The new scales should have this same weight capacity. The two scales will be identical in operation, will be able to work accurately during the cold of winter and are required to work with SMS software which is the current software running. Also to be included are two outside scale readers so customers will be able to see their weights per Weights and Measures policy. This work will take place at an active landfill and accommodations will need to be performed to ensure the scale house and one vehicle scale can remain operational during our normal hours of operation: Monday through Fridays from 8am to 4pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. The base bid is for the removal and replacement of the existing two scales. Bidders should include an option for disposal of the old scales off site.
