Specifications include, but are not limited to: Includes the removal of the existing 8' wide by 5.3' high corrugated metal arch culvert, concrete headwalls, and the installation of a 34' L x 22'-9¼” W concrete deck beam bridge placed on concrete pedestal abutments with wingwalls. This will include approximately 100 feet of roadway restoration and 134 feet of paving, and the installation of 68 LF of bridge guardrail and 100 LF of approach guardrail. Construction will also include the realignment of the stream on the upstream side of the existing culvert to remove an exaggerated meander bend to improve the hydraulic efficiency of the new crossing. Inchannel work will include placement abutments and wingwalls, placement of channel bed material to create a new bankfull channel under the bridge, placement of bank rock to create wildlife benches and protect sub-structures, placement of roughness boulders in the bed for habitat and channel roughness, and all associated road, bank, river and erosion control work. Flow bypass will be achieved with a pump providing bypass flow around the project area and discharging downstream of the work, such that the majority of culvert work will be performed during low to no flow.
