Specifications include, but are not limited to: At Salem Correctional Center and Jail, there are three buildings that the existing roof must be replaced with new. The existing buildings are building A, building B, and administrative building. Both buildings A and B, the existing roofs were installed about 2000. It is unknown what year the roof for the administrative building was replaced. The contractor must remove the existing rock ballast, rubber membrane roof system, and insulation to expose the existing decking. The contractor must make any deck repairs per square foot cost that will also be submitted with the bid proposal price. The contractor must make any deteriorated wood blocking repairs per linear foot cost that will also be submitted with the bid proposal price. The roofing contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all requirements of the contract documents and shall make themselves aware of all job site conditions that will affect their work.
