Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Check operation of controllers and auxiliary equipment for eighty-four (84) traffic signals and three (3) HAWK systems. 2. Test to ensure the following is in good working order and visible. Check to ensure Conflict Monitor or Maintenance Management Unit (MMU) indicator lights. 3. Check Detection for proper operation. Check the cleanliness of the camera lens to ensure it’s clean of debris and working at optimum levels. 4. Check all internal Time Clocks for the proper time. 5. If the signal is on an AI system, check for proper Interconnect operation. 6. If preemption is present, check relays (if present) and activate preemption for test of proper operations. 7. Note any observed service needs while at the intersection. 8. Clean and organize cabinet while checking all cabinet components. Ensure the vents are free of obstructions. Check fan operation, locks lubrication and working order, light bulbs, electrical outlets, and doors. All these should be in good working order. 9. Check electrical terminals for tight connections and clean corrosion from connections where needed. 10. Check signal support structures for discrepancies such as sagging cables, turned heads, broken parts, and missing visors. Note any repairs needed and document this information per signal on the inspection reports.
