Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Services Requested Audit and related professional services for a period of three fiscal years ended June 30, 2023, 2024, and 2025, with the options available to negotiate three (3) One (1) year renewal periods. B. Entities to be Audited KU Campus Development Corporation (“KUCDC”) and Jayhawk Community Partners (“JCP”) are financial instrumentalities of the University of Kansas (“KU”). Both entities are considered to be component units of KU and are blended into KU’s Annual Financial Report. KUCDC’s operations: 1) encourage, foster, and conduct scholarly investigation and other types of research for the benefit of KU 2) initiate, facilitate, support, and/or complete building, facility and infrastructure construction, renovation, operations, maintenance, and improvement projects at KU’s campuses; 3) support the teaching, research, and public service missions of KU, its students, faculty, and staff. KUCDC annual operating revenue has ranged from $14.2 million to $13.8 million in the past three years with majority of revenue coming from KU to pay for capital lease agreement on $350 million construction project completed in 2017. JCP’s operations: 1) identify, develop, coordinate, and administer alternative financing and partnership options and programs for the benefit of KU and its affiliated organizations; 2) provide financial and other resources to encourage, support and foster scholarly investigation, research, development, and university programs for the benefit KU, its students, faculty, and staff; 3) support the teaching, research, and public service missions of KU, its students, faculty, and staff. JCP was created in 2021. Annual operating revenue in FY2022 was $1.4 million with majority of revenue coming from sponsorships and rebates.
