Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Davenport is accepting bids for the delivery of ice control road salt for the 2023-2024 winter season. There are two portions to the bid. The first is for a bulk Base Order of salt, which is to be delivered to CHS (Harvest States) River Terminal, located at mile 475.5 of the Mississippi River between 01 July 2023 and 15 October 2023. The second portion of the bid is for a Supplemental Order of salt to be delivered to one or both of the City of Davenport’s storage facilities on an as-needed basis in the event that base order stockpiles are exhausted. The City of Davenport guarantees that an order for 25% of the supplemental amount requested will be placed with the vendor no later than March 01, 2024. There is no guarantee that the total supplemental amount requested will be ordered.
