Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Visiting physicians will be given a 10 working day probationary period. At the end of the probationary period, the University will extend the contract or terminate the contract immediately at its sole discretion. 2. One the probationary period ends, the physician can work for an extended period of time. If the physician wishes to terminate the contract earlier than the date of the contract, the University requires a 30 day notice of physician's departure. 3. The Department of Anesthesia will devote an entire day for orientation to any incoming physician so they become familiar with the use of computers, anesthesia machines, scheduled assignments, work days, etc. 4. Duty hours will normally be day shift (7:00 am to 5:00 pm) and work days may vary week to week as determined by University. There will be no call duty. 5. Physicians will respect patient privacy, according to UIHC and HIPAA rules. 6. Food expenses will not be provided while on duty. 7. Any grievances will be heard and settled by the Chair and Vice Chair of the University Department of Anesthesia.
