Specifications include, but are not limited to: Iowa State University (ISU) is accepting competitive proposals from qualified companies to provide air charter services for the ISU Cyclones Athletic teams (excluding football). ISU typically flies 30 seat for Olympic Sports. This aircraft service must be in accordance with all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and State of Iowa rules, regulations and requirements regarding maintenance and safe air travel. 1. Company must have the ability to provide two types of aircraft. One with a minimum of 30 seats and one with a minimum of 50 seats. Aircraft must be able to accommodate all passengers’ baggage and equipment. ISU prefers that aircraft is configured in a way that can accommodate tall/large team members. 2. Company must perform services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including, without limitation, 14 C.F.R Part 121 and other Federal Aviation Regulations ("FARs") issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation(“DOT”) and the laws of any country having jurisdiction. 3. Company must have the ability to secure suitable aircraft for all requested regular season games and post season for Olympic Sports as needed. 4. Company must allow us to carry food onto the aircraft. 5. Company must provide aircraft that is 15 years old or newer. 6. Company must provide a 24-hour customer service line or contact person in the event of emergencies. Company must provide ISU with a dedicated charter coordinator or a dedicated account manager. This person will be responsible to working with ISU to ensure the contract is executed successfully. 7. Company must meet or exceed the insurance requirements and have a valid operating certificate. 8. Company must have a minimum of five (5) years experience providing air charter services for NCAA Division I athletics teams.
