Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bangor, Maine invites sealed proposals from qualified contractors to install approximately 188 linear feet of 36-inch HDPE storm to replace a failing 36-inch CMP system, as well as an existing ditch and 42-inch CMP driveway culvert. This work will also include: modification of the existing downstream manhole to allow for installation of the 36-inch HDPE pipe, installation of two 6-foot catch basins, 36 linear feet of 24-inch HDPE storm drain inlet, connection of two 4-inch daylight drains to the 36-inch storm drain system, re-grading the southerly ditch to the new 24-inch inlet, installing rip-rap at the inlets, abandonment of the existing 36-inch storm drain system with flowable fill, maintaining storm drain flows, erosion control, traffic control, and roadway restoration. Provide a designated project manager. • Provide a construction schedule. • Provide and implement a traffic control plan. • Provide adequate erosion control measures to protect adjacent natural resources in accordance with all state and local regulations. • Obtain all necessary permits. • Confirm the location of all existing utilities in the field. • Notify the Bangor Water District prior to excavating around and under the existing 30-inch RCP water main. • Notify the Bangor Natural Gas prior to excavating around and under the existing gas mains. • Install 188 linear feet of 36-inch storm drain pipe, two 6-foot catch basins, and all connections. • Install 35 linear feet of 24” HDPE storm drain. • Regrade the ditch leading to the proposed 24-inch inlet.
