Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Provide towing, vehicle storage including an indoor storage facility, accident clean-up, and associated services which are consistent with or exceed the highest standards within the towing and vehicle storage industry. 2. Provide services pursuant to Title 9, Chapter 9, City Code, the disposition of abandoned vehicles pursuant to Section 321.89 of the Code of Iowa. 3. Provide towing designated by the City of Iowa City for purposes of impoundment of a private vehicle. 4. Provide courteous customer service in an manner that extends the utmost respect to the citizens with whom the vendor comes in contact with. 5. Provide courteous customer service with whom the vendor comes in contact with without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability and gender identity. The vendor must have all of the following equipment: 1. Six (6) Class A wreckers of 4-ton capacity with truck minimum of 10,000 lbs. 2. Two (2) wreckers to be equipped with wheel lifts. 3. One (1) Class C wrecker having 25-ton towing capacity with extendable boom capacity of 25 tons or more. Vehicle must have twin winches and air brakes with auxiliary air supply. The truck must have a minimum of 33,000 lb. GVWR. 4. One (1) Class C underreach device of 25-ton towing capacity to pick up vehicle by axles. 5. One Forty-eight foot (48') Low Boy Landoll Trailer or Gillig low floor towing hitch capable of towing and/or connecting to and towing City of Iowa City buses. 6. Two (2) medium duty roll-back flatbed tow trucks. 7. Equipment or adapters to tow motorcycles and scooters.
