Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) Port of Alaska (Owner) is soliciting proposals for a Design/Build Contract from qualified Design/Build Contractors (Contractors) for design, permitting and construction services for a new building and site to house sand and diesel-powered maintenance equipment. The project site is located in the southwest quadrant of the POA, near Cook Inlet, south of the Petroleum Cement Terminal (PCT) and the Alaska Basic Industries (ABI) cement plant. The property is legally described as ARR Ship Creek Tidelands Tract A. See property plat in Section XI. All improvements shall remain within the southeast corner of Tract A. The building footprint shall not encroach into the space available for a future access road (not included in this contract), nor block access to the POA floating dock. • Building design services including all architectural, civil, survey, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering necessary for a new building and utilities. • Site design services including all civil engineering and survey, necessary to design and construct a suitable site for the future building. • Permitting, construction administration and closeout. • Providing all material testing and special inspections. • Coordination with area stakeholders as necessary to ensure daily operations are not impacted by construction, including operations necessary to access the Floating Dock and the PCT, and ABI cement transport. • Coordination with Chugach Electric Association and Enstar during construction for power and gas main extensions to be installed by others for this project. • Other tasks as may be required to realize successful completion of the proposed facility.
