Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project involves the programming, planning, design, and construction of a new Animal Shelter and directly related site improvements. It is anticipated the facility will include space to accommodate kennels of various sizes, veterinary care and basic surgical space, offices, adoption interaction spaces, and laboratory and testing spaces. Operations of the animal shelter are anticipated to include housing, health services and testing, adoption of adoptable animals, and disposal of deceased animals, with expected species to include small livestock, standard household animals, birds, and small reptiles and mammals. The City is looking for design professionals with extensive experience, expertise, and creativity having previously provided planning, design, documentation, and construction administration services for animal centered facilities.
